I love when seniors bring something special to their photos and that's what Dalton (and with the help of his mom!) did for his shoot -- we did all of Dalton's shoot at his grampa's farm where Dalton calls his second home and found a love of agriculture and farming.
I had to jump through a water ditch to get into the wheat field, but it was well worth it for that golden amber waves of grain against the stormy evening summer sky. We got so lucky with the weather! The rain held off so we could get the session in, but the sky stayed dark and contrasted beautifully against the wheat. It's why I love shooting sessions in the wheat so much!
These are just a few of what are my top shots from Dalton's session. I will say, those top two portrait shots of Dalton sitting in the wheel are one of my most favorite portraits I've ever taken. I love the way Dalton stared down my camera and his folded hands -- he truly is a farm guy.
I've got to say, Dalton was such a trooper taking direction from me and doing poses he thought were crazy. By by golly he did them for me and his mom and I were grateful because the gallery turned out perfectly!
